Hi, I'm Alix the founder of Rutland Ranch.
I'm a wife to my husband Dan and mum to two amazing children Freddie, who is six and Izzy, who is four.
I've spent over 20 years serving as a police officer in the metropolitan police, but outside of work horses have always been my passion. Some of you may already know Boris and me from our social media or from seeing us out and about at competitions. He's been my partner in crime for countless adventures and has played a huge part in inspiring this journey. Through horses I have met an incredible community of horse lovers. It's that same passion for horses, the outdoors and the western lifestyle that inspired me to create Rutland Ranch.
For years I have searched for authentic western clothing and accessories in the UK but often have found the choice limited. I wanted to create a place where people could find quality brands and be able to try them on, feel the material, choose the right fit.
That's how Rutland Ranch began.
Based in Kent, my vision is to build more than just an online shop. I want Rutland Ranch to become a place to experience the brand in person, to discover their next pair of favourite boots, to get the full Western Ranch feeling. The Rutland Ranch location is my family farm it holds a lot of fond memories for me. My vision is for it it to be somewhere people don't just shop but a place to connect over country life and a shared love of western lifestyle.
